Since 1974 the Outdoor Sportsman has served Geelong’s outdoorsmen.
Many would remember the Geelong Shooting Supplies store opposite the Travel Lodge in Myers Street, Geelong. Roy Haugh opened there in 1974 when he saw a gap for a quality gun shop giving genuine advice and satisfaction. Geelong Shooting Supplies filled that need for more that 25 years.
In 2001 Roy’s son Rod took the Geelong Shooting Supplies store to its current location in Pakington Street, Geelong West, and renamed the business ‘The Outdoor Sportsman’.
Our values are still the same: quality advice, and service, backed by more than 40 years of experience.
Rods been a familiar face around Victorian shooting for more than 30 years, whether as a competitor, a sponsor or involved in running the sport. To put it simply Rod just likes shooting.
